Lack of buttons

Forgive me for not sewing my buttons back on

I bought a cheap coat at Target this year. Most of the buttons fell off within the first week of owning it. It's now the end of March and I have yet to sew a button back on, despite wearing the coat daily for the past 5 months.

I just button the top button (only one of two still remaining) and pretend like I MEANT it to be that way, make it look like a swing coat. If it's really cold I wear a big scarf and cover up the gap between the top button and the bottom button.
